UP FOR SALE IS A PAIR OF GENERAL ELECTRIC CORP. ELECTRIC SOCKETS FROM AROUND 1900. THEY HAVE THE PRETTY JAPON FINISH ON BOTH SOCKETS. THESE ARE SOCKETS THAT GENERAL ELECTRIC STARTED MAKING SHORTLY AFTER THEY BOUGHT OUT EDISON ELECTRIC. THE ELECTRIC SOCKET HAS A PORCELAIN INTERIOR AND A COPPER CONDUCTOR AND A MICA INSULATOR WHERE THE LIGHT BULBS SCREW IN.

BOTH OF THE PAIR OF SOCKETS ARE ALL MADE FROM BRASS WITH A JAPON FINISH APPLIED. THE SOCKET AND CAP BOTH ARE FREE OF DINGS, DENTS OR SPLITS IN THE METAL AND BOTH FEEL LIKE THE WORK.

THE SOCKET WILL SCREW ONTO A STANDARD 1/8" THREADED LAMP PIPE, commonly used on high grade lamps like Tiffany, Handel, Wilkinson, Suess, Unique etc. $150 for the pair.
